Zoo Keeper Program
Zoo Keeper Program
The Adventure of a Lifetime!
At the Grand Canyon Deer Farm, we offer a unique behind-the-scenes experience as a Zoo Keeper. Participants follow and helps our zoo keeper in feeding and taking care of the animals. This educational experience is both hands on and taught by our staff. The animals are hand raised making a safe environment for handling and grooming. To be this close to such wonderful and beautiful creatures is a rare experience. For children and adults who love animals, it doesn’t get any better.
The Zoo Keeper program is designed for ages 10 and up who have a desire to learn about how zoos care for and maintain their animal collections. Participants will learn and develop the skills needed to pursue a career in animal care by assisting qualified staff in the daily husbandry needs of the animals. As a structured program, participants will be trained on certain tasks that they will assist with.
$100.00 (plus tax) per person for 2 hours, morning or afternoon. Only 1-2 people per date/time. Call 928-635-4073 for available dates, reservations and general information. You can fill out the form below and we will respond by E-mail and/or phone.
